Saya pertama kali belajar bikin nasi uduk dari blog kawan baik saya, Fiqa. Uji coba pertama berhasil, saya pun jadi ketagihan bikin nasi bersantan ini.
baru sadar kalo sayurannya ketinggalan, nggak ikut kefoto deh, hihi..
Untuk satu cup takaran beras rice cooker, saya menggunakan sebatang sereh, dua lembar daun salam, satu sendok teh garam, sedikit merica, sedikiiit jahe geprek, dan dua gelas belimbing penuh santan. Nah, kalau Anda mau bikin ber-cup-cup (halah!), silakan dilipatgandakan sendiri bumbu-bumbunya sesuai selera.
Saya beli kelapa parut di tukang sayur langganan seribu rupiah, karena saya cuma masak 1 cup lebih dikit. Dari kelapa parut itu, saya beri air, lalu saya peras langsung di atas beras dalam rice cooker yang sudah saya cuci bersih.
Sebelum menekan tombol cook, aduk-aduk dulu beras yang sudah dicampur santan dan garam, biar garamnya merata. Trus serehnya digeprek dulu biar aromanya keluar. Masukkan sereh dan daun salam, cook deh. Selama proses memasak, bisa sambil ditinggal nyetrika atau ngepel, hehe…
Nasi uduk mateng, tinggal nyariin teman buat menyantapnya. Saya pilih tempe goreng, irisan mentimun, kemangi, dan sambel. Untuk sambelnya, suka-suka Anda saja. Mau sambel merah atau sambel ijo, monggo. Yang penting cocok jadi teman makan nasi uduk.
Oiya, kalau ingin nasi uduk lebih enak dan penampakannya sempurna, sebaiknya memasak dengan cara diaron dulu lalu dikukus pake dandang. Kalau saya, karena nggak mau repot, ya pake rice cooker aja. Tapi ya gitu, hasilnya lapisan nasi bagian bawah agak cokelat-cokelat menuju gosong, hehe…
