Suatu hari pernah terlintas di benak saya, andai ada ikan bandeng segar yang dijual tanpa duri, betapa menyenangkannya memasak bandeng. Eh, kemarin saya baru tahu, ternyata di sebuah supermarket tersedia bandeng segar tanpa duri! Harga seekornya dengan berat sekitar 500 gram Rp 14 ribu, dua kali lipat dari harga bandeng segar berduri yang dijual emak sayur dekat rumah. Tanpa pikir panjang saya memasukkannya ke keranjang belanja.
Sampai rumah, lihat-lihat resep ikan di Tabloid Nova. Saya nemu resep Sup Pedas Ikan Patin. Hm, kalau patinnya diganti bandeng sepertinya nggak masalah. Bahan dan cara memasak sup pedas yang saya copas dari Nova adalah sebagai berikut.
Bahan:
1 ekor ikan patin, potong 4 bagian
2 sdm air jeruk nipis
1 sdt garam
500 ml air
5 buah tomat hijau, potong-potong
100 gram nanas, potong bentuk kipas
6 batang kemangi, petik daunnya
Bumbu:
5 siung bawang merah, iris tipis
4 siung bawang putih, iris tipis
2 cm jahe bakar, memarkan
2 cm kunyit bakar, memarkan
10 buah cabe rawit utuh
3 lbr daun jeruk, iris-iris
2 btg serai, iris-iris
2 lbr daun salam
1/2 sdt garam
1 sdt gula
2 sdm air lemon

Cara membuat:
1. Lumuri ikan patin dengan air jeruk nipis dan garam, aduk rata. diamkan selama 20 menit
2. Rebus air dan bumbu hingga mendidih, masak sampai bumbu matang
3. Masukkan ikan patin, tomat hijau, nanas, dan daun kemangi, masak sampai semua bahan matang
4. Angkat dan sajikan selagi hangat

Nah, resep ini saya modif dengan bandeng sebagai tokoh utamanya (hehe..). Ada dua lagi ketidaktaatan pada resep yang saya lakukan. Saya nggak pakai air lemon karena nggak ada stok di dapur saya. Dan untuk kemangi, saya pakai seuprit saja (karena stok di kulkas kebetulan seuprit), itu pun sudah layu, hihihi. Cara memasak sama persis. Aroma sup yang tercium selama proses memasak segeeer banget. Begitu icip-icip, hmmmmm, rasa asam, pedas, gurih, dan segarnya unik plus nendang! Coba deeeeh…
